Remuneration range: $49,634.00 - $67,153.00

The New Zealand Police Information and Communication Technology Service Centre are seeking to appoint a Service Desk Analyst based at the Royal New Zealand Police College, Wellington.

The Police ICT Service Centre is here to save Police Officers time, enhance their safety and contribute to making New Zealand a safer community. To prevent crime and crashes, Police require information delivered to the frontline that is reliable and able to be accessed anywhere, anytime. Making this happen is the daily work of our people in the ICT Service Centre. Alongside our operational colleagues and partners we create world leading solutions in mobile, computer aided dispatch, intelligence, networks and security.

We are looking for people with excellent customer service skills and a passion to deliver world class service, people who will share our vision for innovation, partnership and being part of a positive work environment.

Our Service Desk Analysts are professional and competent resolving incidents or requests raised in our computing, application, radio, mobility and telephony environments. We are proud of the service levels delivered by Police ICT and managed through the Service Hub, we are looking for individuals motivated to maintain and improve on this service.

 

Skills & Experience – you will have/be able to:

  • Clear and concise professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  •  Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Demonstrates a passion for delivering a quality and timely service
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (or working towards) is preferred

 

Special Requirements

  • To apply for this role you must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident.
  • The ideal candidate will need to be able to work full time house within a 24x7 roster. There is a requirement to work shift work – that includes day, late and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • You must have transport that covers these shifts – early shift is from 6am, late shift from 2pm-10pm and night shift is 10pm-6am. These hours may affect restricted drivers.
  • Successful applicant must reside in Wellington.
