Remuneration range: $42,843.00 - $57,965.00

There is an opportunity for you to join the Arms Act Service Delivery Group as a Firearms Licensing Administrator.

You will be responsible for maintaining the national database of firearm license holders by processing data and providing an inquiry and administration service to customers with respect to firearms licensing and arms control. Additionally you will be responsible for supporting the Police Import Permit and Data Management (PIPS) System by preparing permit and licence documentation and database maintenance.

This position is located at our all new, purpose built Digital Communication Centre based in Paraparaumu.

  • Possess proficient computer skills, and experience in key Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Have experience maintaining and updating databases
    • Have the ability to interpret and provide advice on government legislation


Special Requirements

  • To apply for this role you must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident
  • Successful Applicants must be prepared to undertake training in identifying and understanding the Arms legislation and demonstrating the safe use and security of Firearms through NZ Police (approx. 35 hours of self-directed study).
