Evidence-Based Policing (EBP) is about using information, crime-science and problem-solving methods to ensure that proven approaches and tactics inform our choices, are seen in the results, and provide confidence that what we do works.

EBP presents an opportunity for New Zealand Police to embed an evidence base into all of our operations. This is an opportunity to contribute to the formation of the newly created EBP Service Centre.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate highly developed planning and organisational skills which allow multiple strands of programmes to be managed seamlessly. Taking a creative approach to problem-solving, the ability to focus on getting the details right while still maintaining the "big picture" view are all hallmarks of success.
