The National Intelligence Centre is a large team that plays a pivotal role in prevention policing by informing and driving the deployment of operational resources, providing an understanding of the criminal environment and facilitating evidence-based action. The National Intelligence Centre is currently looking for dynamic, highly organised, self-starters to fill multiple vacancies as Intelligence Support Officers in our team.

Intelligence Support Officers contribute to prevention of crime and road trauma and disruption of criminal activity through providing a range of specialist support services. For example, producing association charts, conducting specialised vetting checks, producing risk assessments, researching and collating information, contributing to intelligence products, and providing support to the intelligence analysis. All Intelligence Support Officers may be subject to rotation within the wider National Intelligence Centre approximately every 12-18 months.

 

Skills - you will be able to:

  • Collect, analyse and disseminate information appropriately to assist decision-makers
  • Contribute to intelligence products and processes to assist decision-makers
  • Use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to develop reports and presentations to a high standard
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of positive relationships (internal and external)
  • Research, collect and conduct preliminary analysis to identify and highlight any key emerging trends/issues/risks
  • Provide ongoing support to your team and have a strong team focus

 

Experience:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to develop reports and presentations to a high standard
  • Experience conducting internet-based research and preliminary analysis
  • Experience writing clear, succinct and useful documents
