The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team to contribute to social work and support worker education in programmes underpinned by principles of social justice, bicultural practice and empowering others to promote personal and social change. The major focus of this role is working in with students in the Bachelor of Social Work and NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing. There are opportunities to work in course theory and skills, field education and placement support and the hours of work are usually flexible and worked across the academic year.


The successful applicant will work with a team of staff who are experienced social work educators. This role requires a social worker who is passionate about practice and has an excellent reputation as a professional. This role may suit an experienced educator or someone new to social work education who is seeking a change in the direction of their career.

  • Registered Social Worker
  • A postgraduate qualification, preferably a master's degree in social work or related discipline
  • A minimum of three years practice experience as a social worker
  • Practice and educational qualifications and skills that support teaching of social work and human services.
  • A broad range of social work practice skills
