The mission of our ICT unit is to support the delivery of learning to our students, and to provide the tools required to effectively manage the Institution. This is achieved through strong strategic planning linking ICT delivery to organisational visions. The ICT unit manages the Institution's ICT infrastructure, and provides ICT technical support for staff and students.


The Role

We are seeking an Information Systems Administrator to join the Information Systems team who are responsible for the administration of a wide range of services, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and Open Source systems on Microsoft Windows, Linux and cloud platforms.

In this role you will:

  • Provide IT technical support and advice
  • Administer enterprise applications
  • Administer systems for performance and availability
  • Ensure optimal implementation, monitoring, management, support, upgrade and maintenance of systems, including application, database and web servers.



To be successful in this role you will have industry experience that includes server-side application and database administration skills, a relevant tertiary qualification in ICT and a commitment to delivering quality service.

The following skills and experience would also be beneficial:

  • Knowledge of web environments – Apache and IIS
  • Experience in the support of enterprise applications such as Finance and HR
  • Experience in the support of a range database management systems such as MS SQLserver
  • Familiarity with Sharepoint administration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, SCOM etc
  • Experience with Office365 and other SAAS solutions
  • SQL query development experience.
