WelTec School of Engineering is seeking professionals with the skills, experience and industry knowledge to help transform the lives of our students.

WelTec has been a leader in the delivery of a Built Environment (Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology and Construction Management) education for many years and offers a qualification that is highly regarded and in demand from New Zealand industry.

Position details:

The successful candidate will teach on the New Zealand Diploma in Architectural Technology and other Built Environment programmes. Your key responsibilities as an Built Environment Architectural Tutor will include academic development to keep the programme current and up to date, course delivery, research, management of resources relating to the learning processes and working as a member of an academic team. WelTec is looking for someone who is keen to pass on their knowledge and has an enthusiasm for learning and education.

This role requires the following key skills and attributes:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Architecture/Construction or a closely related field
  • Teaching qualification or teaching experience is desirable but not essential
  • A customer focus with demonstrated ability to be both flexible and professional
  • Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant New Zealand experience in the area of Architecture and Construction is required
