Job Description

NZTE's purpose is simple - to grow New Zealand companies internationally, bigger, better, faster, for the good of New Zealand. Our Board Governance team builds a trusted environment for our Board to make informed decisions that guide our direction.

What you'll be doing
This is a fast-paced diverse role that will see you working closely with the Manager - Board Governance, to successfully deliver the Board Governance Programme, including multiple formal Board and Committee meetings, and other events at any one time. Within this, you'll manage competing priorities and thrive on delivering to deadlines. As a trusted advisor, you will support individuals and teams authoring papers and presenting at Programme meetings. You will also use your calm approach to coordinate logistics and information, using high quality best practice tools, templates and guides.

What you'll need to be successful
You will be personable and approachable, and someone who builds relationships with a variety of stakeholders with ease. We need you to be comfortable working alongside senior leaders and board members and making connections across the organisation to ensure open communication and knowledge sharing.

Ideally you will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and someone who can be relied upon to provide relevant, timely and trusted information. Previous experience in a both writing/editing capacity and project coordination would be an advantage in this role, as well as an understanding of international business development.

Why you'll love working here
We are a small but motivated and enthusiastic team, committed and connected to the purpose of NZTE. This role offers broad exposure across the organisation and when you join our team you will be supported and encouraged to develop and be the best you can be.

Please note: you must have the legal right to work in New Zealand to apply for this role.

We believe New Zealand is good for the world.  We were the last to be discovered but the first to give women the vote.  A country embracing its diverse landscapes and even greater diversity of its people.  At NZTE it's all about the people.  We work flexibly at NZTE and we're keen to talk to you about what that might mean for you in this role.  We're deeply connected to the diversity of our people across the globe and embrace how that drives our organisation and the country forward.
