Job Description

We are seeking people that are enthusiastic and motivated to join us as software developers in Wellington. We are looking for experienced software developers with industry experience who are looking for a challenge.

You will be working in a talented team of software developers within the national intelligence community. In this role you will keep up to date with the latest advances in software development and integration. You will be working with exciting technologies to solve challenging analytical and technical problems and using your skills to identify opportunities for improvements.

First and foremost, we are seeking candidates that are knowledgeable and passionate that will be responsible for the integration and development of specific applications/ systems. You will also contribute to the lifecycle support of these systems and provide customer service. In addition we are looking for candidates with one or more of the following:

  • Highly-effective oral and written communications skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Java, javascript/jQuery, web applications, Linux operating systems, source control systems, and software testing to name a few
  • Understanding of developing and maintaining customer and operational support documentation
  • Experience with analysing code for problem resolution and performance optimisation

You will have a great attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, show initiative with the ability to be effective at self-management to meet/ exceed established performance goals.
