This is an exciting role in a high performing business unit which produces innovative solutions for complex technical problems. The successful applicant will contribute to the ongoing success of the team.

We are looking for someone with a variety of experience who is keen to get more hands on, and who demonstrates the ability to:

  • Work and make decisions autonomously
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Think outside the square

Whether you are an IT graduate with the talent and flair for U engineering or an experienced technician looking for a role like no other we want to hear from you!

You will be providing first and second line support to a part of our ICT Infrastructure, looking after the installation, development and maintenance for our systems and the opportunity to build and develop skills of colleagues.  We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills and an ability to engage with a diverse range of people at all levels.

These are some of the skills that the successful applicant will have not essential to have all of them, but hey we can only try!):

  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating systems;
  • Experience with Hypervisors such as VMware and KVM;
  • Networking – Firewall, Routers and Switches; and
  • Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) technologies.

We have a unique and exciting community culture where you can't take work home with you and where no two days are the same.  We also offer a range of benefits including professional development, competitive salary, health insurance, vision care benefits,  on-site gym and fitness facilities and free transport services from selected locations in Bulls and Palmerston North.

We're a little bit different. The work is always challenging and it's important for the security of New Zealand. If this sounds like you, apply with us today!

The Salary Ranges for the three levels are:

Level 1                   $58,500 - $87,750

Level 2                   $68,316 - $102,474
