Cyber Security Advisors - level 2 or 3 at Government Communications Security Bureau, Auckland
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
Our work is secret, but the reason for our success isn't. It's our people.
And we're just like you. We're ordinary people. But together, we're doing extraordinary things to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders.
While we're ordinary people, we're not all the same. We welcome diversity, in all its forms, in fact we consider it a strength.
Join us and become part of a Community where your skills, experiences and ideas are valued and you're encouraged to be curious, to share your ideas and of course, have fun along the way.
If you're up for the challenge, become Beyond Ordinary with us.
In a world where our adversaries operate without rules or borders, Government Communication Security Bureau's (GCSB) mission to secure New Zealand's most valuable information has never been more relevant.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the lead agency providing cyber resilience and cyber support services to our most nationally significant organisations (NSO's). As a Cyber Security Advisor, you will be part of a team of collaborative self-starters, who provide this essential cyber security advice and guidance.
In this role you will engage with organisations across industry sectors, helping to raise their cyber resilience. You will deliver relevant and timely advice to a variety of customers, relying on your sound communication and written skills as well as your thorough understanding of key cyber security principles and frameworks.
We see this as a team sport and we work closely with other organisations within the Intelligence Community and wider government to deliver results for New Zealand. Your proven ability to build strong relationships easily, and quickly will be essential.
If this sounds like you, and you want to join a unit of great people with an exciting mission, then we want to hear from you.
As this is a “hit the ground running” kind of role, you will need to have had experience within a cyber-resilience or information security background. Relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
We want our people to succeed, whatever success looks like for them. Join us and we'll give you significant professional development opportunities aimed at taking your career in the direction you want it to go. You won't stand still with us as we're committed to ongoing learning and continuous improvement.
We're also committed to your wellbeing. We want our people to be the best they can be, both at work and at home. We offer our people comprehensive benefits, access to staff networking groups, flexible working and great work-life balance.
If you want to love coming to work each day, let us help you become Beyond Ordinary.
