The Emergency Department at Middlemore Hospital is currently looking for an Emergency Clerk, working Monday to Sunday to join our team. We currently have part time 0.7 FTE three positions and a available working 28 hours a week, 0.6 position working 24 hours per week.
These shifts are variable shifts from Monday to Sunday and flexibility is a must to ensure you can work these variable shifts which are as follows:
- Day - 0730-1600 hours
- Evening - 1530-2400 hours
- Night - 2330-0800 hours
If you are successful, you will be working in the busiest Emergency Department in Australasia! The role works in a fast paced environment so a positive “can do attitude” is important. You'll be working alongside a diverse team of health care Extraordinaires! This role is responsible for the timely registration and admission of patients who will move throughout the Emergency Care department. Providing key administrative and clerical support to all the relevant Clinical teams.
If you hold at least 2-3 years customer service experience, excellent communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and hold and a great command in computer skills then we would love to hear from you! Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage, however we also provide full systems training and orientation when you come on board.
Dependent on skills and experience the salary is in line with the PSA Clerical and Administrative staff collective agreement which is between $64,903 to $67,787 pro-rata.
