Job Description

We are seeking an assurance star to take on a newly established positon in National Office.   As part of the Commercial Services team, the Team Leader Assurance will cover all parts of the contract lifecycle including procurement, transition, delivery and exit of contract.
The contracts assurance programme takes into account the wider assurance landscape and other assurance teams (both internal and external), to deliver a combined assurance approach to risk management.
The Team Leader Assurance – Major Contracts is responsible for oversight of the development and delivery of an assurance programme over a range of commercial contracts. You will work with Commercial Assurance Team Leaders and the Director Commercial Assurance, to provide specialist advice, or resources.
To be successful in the role you should have:
  • Experience at a senior level of developing and implementing assurance plans, programs, tools and techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of commercial contracts and key risks associated with outsourced services.
  • Ability to gather, analyse and present quantitative and qualitative information.
  • The ability to provide leadership and management support to the Contracts Assurance team.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to develop and build effective and appropriate working relationships with the major suppliers and our internal business groups.
  • Advanced writing skills and ability to report on results of assurance activities to senior management
As this is a new role you will be recruiting, managing and developing a brand new team. This role will suit someone ready for a ‘green fields' opportunity.
Some travel will be required around New Zealand to complete the assurance programme with our major suppliers.
