Job Description

Manage supplier contracts at a National strategic level

NZ Health Partnerships is a young organisation open to innovation, doing things differently and finding ways to evolve to meet the needs of DHBs which are our customers and shareholders.  Our procurement team was formed earlier this year to deliver a national procurement service to DHBs. This is an exciting time to join NZ Health Partnerships to deliver this service to the sector.

As a Contracts Manager you are responsible for management of National contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.  This includes performance and obligation management, reviews negotiations, amendments, renewals, and closeout. You will also be responsible for obligations and managing any risks that may arise thorough the life of the contract.

Key requirements

The ideal candidate has superb contract management skills, an ability to identify and realise valued opportunities and to contribute to the enhancement of contract management practices. You have in depth knowledge of end to end procurement with broad knowledge of and practical application of best practice.

Ideally you have three years plus experience managing contracts in a complex procurement environment, a relevant tertiary and or CPIS qualification    Experience or insight into and knowledge of the All of Government Rules of Sourcing would also be a real feather in your cap!

About NZ Health Partnerships

There are increasing demands being placed on the health system, from an aging population, the cost of new technologies and growth of long term conditions such as mental health issues and obesity. One way we can help mitigate rising costs is by facilitating greater collaboration amongst our shareholders. By thinking, acting and investing collaboratively, DHBs can achieve greater savings and realise greater value than they would by operating independently.

However, what we do is about more than cost reduction. While the organisation's primary focus is on administrative, support and procurement activities, most of our work has direct or indirect clinical benefits. Ultimately patient-care is at the core of what we do.

If you are an experienced and professional procurement contracts manager and want to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders, please apply online. Should you wish to learn more about NZ Health Partnerships please visit www.nzhealthpartnerships.co.nz. Applications close Sunday 29 October.
