The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is an integral part of the GCSB. We are an engineering team responsible for building and administering unique tools and technology - you will be part of a team protecting some of the most important information infrastructure in New Zealand!

You will join a team of like-minded, curious and intelligent Engineers who work closely together and do amazing things with technology. You will need to enjoy and be willing to work as part of a team, but also be comfortable working on complex problems on your own. We like out of the box thinking - ideas are encouraged in this team!

You will work closely with expert analysts to engineer solutions to aid the automation and productionisation of analyst activities as well as develop and work with existing solutions for data discovery, analysis and presentation.

You will bring:

  • Enthusiasm for solving complex problems
  • In addition to relevant work experience you will hold a relevant formal tertiary qualification
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create concise and effective technical documentation

Some of the skills and experience a successful applicant will have are:

  • Intermediary to Advanced level experience in multiple programming languages; Java, C, C++, Python
  • Experience working in Continuous Integration environments
  • Experience Developing for Linux
