The New Zealand Security and Intelligence Service (NZSIS) is seeking a Knowledge Analyst to join their busy team.  You will be responsible for analysing and improving the way data and information is captured, organised and used in our mission to provide knowledge-led decision making and high quality security and intelligence services.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who:

  • has experience improving operational knowledge bases and understands how knowledge can be best utilised to support business outcomes
    • actively seeks to understand the role knowledge plays in intelligence work, and identifies innovative and identifies innovative ways to organise, structure, share, analyse/extract, integrate or disseminate information to speed up processes and gain deeper insight
    • has an ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people

Ideally, you will also have:

  • 3 years+ experience in one of the following:
    • Business analysis
    • Information exploitation / data analysis
    • Information Management
    • highly effective verbal, written and visual communication skills –  you can translate complex problems or solutions into words and diagrams that are easy for people to understand

Salary from $68,316 - $102,474 per annum

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
