Job Description

Are you interested in using information, records and data management strategies to support the New Zealand Security and Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to have the knowledge it needs to keep New Zealand and New Zealander's safe and secure?

We are seeking an Information Management Advisor to develop and help maintain our processes and policies to ensure we have the information assets we need to deliver high quality security and intelligence services.

Are you a highly motivated person who:

  • Has experience throughout the information lifecycle, in a digital context, and uses this experience to develop and implement information practices that support information as a business asset?
    • Has experience with information management legislation and policy and applies this to support and guide others to create, hold and dispose of information properly and appropriately?
  • Has the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people and deliver complex messages with impact whether in writing, verbally or visually?

Ideally, you will have 3-5 years' experience in:

  • an information and records management role in a complex business and customer focused environment, and
  • providing system support and advice to users to enable smart use of Electronic Information Management (ECM) tools.

Salary range $58,500 - $87,750.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
