As the Scrum Master, you'll work collaboratively and productively across Headquarters Defence Logistics Command (HQ DLC) and the wider Logistics Command to lead the development team to produce mobile applications software to support Logistic business outcomes. You'll work closely with Defence Digital (IT) to meet NZDF Information Technology policies and standards.
You'll be focused on leading self-organising Agile teams and you'll be adept at influencing the team in subtle and indirect ways, to empower and motivate the team in achieving a shared identity, values, and purpose in meeting their delivery goals.
You'll be accountable for the output of your team and be responsible for assuring the quality of work and ensuring that agreed processes and practices are followed. The Scrum Master is responsible for setting product quality standards, identifying and facilitating continuous improvement in all areas of practice and process.

We're looking for an experienced Scrum Master with skills in Agile and continuous improvement. You'll be an experienced people leader that motivates, empowers and builds trust.
Key attributes for success are:
- Demonstrable ability to coach and build trust in teams and inspire individuals to meet their potential;
- Experience delivering software products using Agile and SAFe methodologies;
- Skilled at developing and maintaining effective working relationships;
- Proficient at removing impediments to the development team's progress, optimising their outputs; and
- Proven skills in planning and preparing for programme increments.
Ideally you'll hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.

The Defence Logistics Command (DLC) is a consolidated organisation that provides logistics excellence to sustain NZDF maritime, land and air operations. DLC provides consolidated logistics support to equip and sustain the three Services to enable them to meet operational outputs now and into the future.
The Logistics Delivery Support Group (DSG) function is a flexible multi-disciplinary team in DLC, responsible for continuously developing, delivering, supporting and improving business solutions across DLC and for logistics users. The DSG is charged with driving structured, consolidated, coordinated and effective solution design and delivery to enable common ways of working and operational compatibility across the DLC. The team will collaborate closely with and provide relevant support across Supply Chain Management, the Equipment Management Organisation, Logistics Commands, HQ DLC and other policy and system owners. They will also partner with the Defence Digital Group (DDG) on technology solutions and support, working within DDG's policy and planning frameworks.

- most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR
- is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
