Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Storeperson is responsible for maintaining camping stores and equipment.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  • Responding promptly to requests for equipment from our internal customers;
  • Managing queries over the phone and in person;
  • Conducting regular stock checks and managing stock levels;
  • Managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all stock; and
  • Providing accurate documentation and records.

You'll be someone who takes pride in a job well done and works hard to make it happen.

Along with some experience in a warehousing or stores environment you'll need the following:

  • Forklift experience;
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills;
  • Ability to provide quality and efficient service to customers;
  • A good level of computer literacy within Microsoft Office, particularly with excel spreadsheeting and outlook; and
  • A full class 1 NZ driver license.

This job will require heavy lifting of equipment at times.

Mō mātou | About Us

The Materiel Support Wing Auckland/Woodbourne provides: management and planning for all ILM and DLM maintenance activity for RNZAF Base Auckland aircraft fleets and major components. They provide logistics support to Base Commander Woodbourne including: technical and spares support to Airbus; storage, distribution and accounting of equipment and spares, including small arms and medical items; the movement of freight; communication and data support; maintenance and repair of ground support equipment including vehicles; and passenger and freight loading.

The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Low level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen, who has resided in this country continuously for at least the last five years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
