The Business Performance Manager delivers data-driven business intelligence to NZDF strategic decision makers.
You'll be influencing through-life support along with the following:
- Providing effective leadership to the Business Performance Team
- Monitoring end-to-end Supply Chain quality and performance;
- Utilising Business Intelligence tools to inform supply chain solutions and influence decision making;
- Developing and maintaining standard performance reporting tools and methods;
- Policy development and strategic improvement initiatives; and
- Regularly providing advisement and recommendations to Senior Leaders and Key Stakeholders.
This role is based at RNZAF Base Ohakea. Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, then flexible working arrangements can be discussed.

To be successful you must have proven leadership experience, ideally within a large multi-faceted or complex business environment, managing multiple customer and stakeholder expectations.
You will also have the following key skills and experience:
- Integrated Logistics Support or capability management experience;
- Comprehensive understanding and experience in logistics, procurement and supply chains;
- Proven experience analysing and utilising data/ business intelligence to influence decision making;
- Highly effective communication skills and ability to build strong, agile working relationships with key stakeholders;
- Financial oversight and budget management experience; and
- Vendor and contractor management, tendering and handling of commercial agreements.

To be eligible for the required level of government security clearance with the NZ Defence Force, you need to meet certain citizenship and residency criteria. Here's what you need to know:
Higher Level Security Clearance
- You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
- At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last ten (10) years.
- You must have a ten (10) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
