This position is responsible for the technical maintenance and repair of Aircraft Ground Support Equipment and NZDF specialist vehicles at RNZAF Base Woodbourne.
The main responsibilities of this role are:
- Managing workflow, resources and requirements for workshop tasks;
- Organising and/ or carrying out maintenance tasks on all ground support equipment;
- Tracking and recording maintenance and servicing requirements within SAP;
- Ensuring correct standards and procedures are followed; and
- Providing technical supervision and oversight.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
Along with significant experience as an Automotive Technician including the maintenance of heavy diesel vehicles, you'll have a good understanding of WOF and COF standards.
The ideal candidate will have the following key skills and experience:
- Workshop supervisory and leadership experience;
- Experience overseeing the work of others and making recommendations for improvement;
- Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Automotive Engineering (Heavy) or equivalent;
- A full, clean Driver's license; and
- Effective communication and relationship management skills, able to bring a collaborative approach to the role.

Low Level Security Clearance
- You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
- At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last five (5) years.
- You must have a five (5) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
