Working closely with various project teams to support all aspects of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). Assist project teams to acquire and maintain a vast range of equipment and resources that are used to support Army operational capabilities. The ILS Specialist involvement covers in all stages of the project ensuring effective through-life systems are in place.
The key areas of responsibilities are:
- Lead, develop and maintain ILS planning and documentation;
- Develop and implement optimum ILS and through life support (TLS) solutions based on supportability analysis and assessment activities;
- Through life support planning and management of whole of life costing models;
- Working closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure maintenance plans and servicing schedules are in place;
- Consulting and engaging with key stakeholders regularly; and
- Research and develop ILS deliverables and evaluate options during the tendering and contract documentation.
Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
Please note: This is a fixed term role for two years.

- Demonstrated leadership and subject matter expertise in ILS.
- Knowledge of Logistic Support Analysis techniques and applications.

- Considerable stakeholder engagement, relationship and contractor management experience.
- Confident communication, influencing and negotiation skills internally and externally.
- An ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities while understanding the big picture.
- Analytical thinking to assess risks and benefits for capabilities and ensure optimal results.

To be eligible for the required level of government security clearance with the NZ Defence Force, you need to meet certain citizenship and residency criteria. Here's what you need to know:
Higher Level Security Clearance
- You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
- At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last ten (10) years.
- You must have a ten (10) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
