Our Trentham team is expanding, and we are looking for customer-focused professionals to join us in a dynamic and varied Customer Experience Representative role. Every day is different, as you support NZDF personnel by providing timely, accurate and customer-centred shared services.
You will liaise and assist across a range of units and levels within the organisation, effectively and efficiently multitasking to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
As part of the Defence Shared Services Group (DSSG), you will contribute to services delivered through a mix of local and national teams:
- Local services provide on-site, situationally tailored support to camps and bases, including functions such customer supporting, housing, amenities, medals, fleet and driver-related services.
- National services deliver nationally consistent support across New Zealand, including areas such as travel, claims and expenses, leave centres and posting assistance.
You will be supported by an inclusive and experienced Customer Services Manager and be part of a team who are passionate about the work they do and proud of the service they provide to the NZDF whānau.

To be eligible for the required level of government security clearance with the NZ Defence Force, you need to meet certain citizenship and residency criteria. Here's what you need to know:
Low Level Security Clearance
- You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
- At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last five (5) years.
- You must have a five (5) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
