The Materiel Planner Seasprite is responsible for the management and delivery to the work place of all material requirements identified in each servicing work scope for 6 Squadron and Airbus (NZ) scheduled maintenance activities.
This also includes:
- Material requirements generated from work arising during scheduled servicing.
- Any 6 Sqn requirement for material as the result of post test flying activity.
The Material Planner Seasprite prioritises requirements throughout the fleet to maximise stock availability, providing advice to DO TS SEA, MFC 6 Sqn, Supply Chain (SC) and Inventory Management (IM) on any potential shortages and potential solutions for material deficiencies
Duties for this role will include:
- Perform Materiel Requirements Planning responsibilities, including ongoing analysis, forecasting and optimisation of inventory levels.
- Determine appropriate purchasing strategies, considering regulatory, contractual, fit/form/function and lifecycle requirements.
- Manage a wide range of inventory movements and production kit builds within SAP
- Constant liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be an effective communicator with a strong attention to detail and the ability to build a strong team rapport to ensure a good team fit. A willingness to learn and a commitment to helping others to ensure the wider team is supported during busy periods.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- Experience in materiel planning, inventory control, purchasing or supply chain management.
- Ability to analyse demand data, forecast requirement and management competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
- High level of attention to detail, strong data integrity focus, sound judgement and problem solving skills.
- Good computer skills, including a strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and understanding of SAP.
- The ability to adapt to ever changing priorities.

Low Level Security Clearance
- You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
- At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last five (5) years.
- You must have a five (5) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
