Here's your opportunity to utilise your procurement and commercial business experience. In the role of Senior Procurement Specialist, you will lead and facilitate NZDF's business units and projects to procure goods and services in accordance with good practice and Government/NZDF policy and direction, enabling business outcomes to be met. A key component of this position involves overseeing high value and complex procurements and ensuring the appropriate implementation of developed sourcing strategies.  
To be successful in this role you will need to have an understanding of procurement practices, together with experience of leading and implementing procurement projects in a high functioning procurement environment. Knowledge of project management and experience in developing procurement documentation is essential, as well as highly developed analytical, communication and numerical skills. An MCIPS or tertiary qualification will be beneficial.

The remuneration band for this position is $96,217 to $118,857, inclusive of a 4% employer superannuation contribution.

  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
