Great customer service role with a twist

  • Join a fun, diverse and passionate team

  • Unique organisation, unique experience

This really is a true customer support role where you partner with the business to provide superior shared services to the NZDF and together we are a Force for New Zealand.

What you will do

Although very much a customer support role, this particular vacancy has a focus on mail distribution, ‘front of house' and registry document management.  This will see you sorting, delivering and collecting mail to units around Base. Whilst in the Service Centre you will be dealing with walk-ins, responding to emails and answering the phone while being responsible for creating ID Cards, taking payments, assisting customers with travel and claims, to administering the mounting of NZDF medals. In terms of the Registry function this will see you checking, maintaining, securing, distributing Personal Files. Your above average competence with the Microsoft suite and other electronic media is advantageous. The exciting part to this role is we are seeking a person who using their creativity and initiative can take this multi-tasking role forward.

There is a lot to learn in this role however you are already an expert multi-tasker and someone who embraces change as an opportunity to grow. You will be supported by an inclusive team management and be part of a team who are passionate about the work they do, and very proud of the service they provide.

It's important in this role to bring a real sense of value to the relationships you build and the networks you create. You will have an eye for continuous improvement, attention to detail and be comfortable in tabling ideas for discussion.

What we need

Life skills, technical savviness, initiative, commitment, energy, self-awareness and someone who understands the true meaning of team work and service delivery.

Ideally you can bring a strong foundation in customer service and administration to this role; the type that has seen you able to use your initiative to provide solutions to internal customers.
