To be successful in this role you will also be experienced in change management and risk management.  You will also be able to influence stakeholders and have experience in representing an organisation in senior governance forums.
You will have demonstrable experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives, as well as an understanding of public sector systems and process.  Your experience in operating in a secure and/or sensitive environment and your understanding of either a Defence or Intelligence sector will be beneficial to your application.

Who we are

The NZDF CIS Branch is unique in that it provides a complex, multi-faceted, communications and information systems environment operating across multiple security layers, providing support to more than 14,000 military and civilian Defence Force personnel, dispersed on seven continents, often in geographically remote or hostile environments.  Our core purpose is to provide reliable responsive and robust Information Communications Services (ICS) to our Joint Forces; Navy, Army and Airforce on operations, at home and abroad, in military bases, in headquarters, makeshift or permanent, on  planes and helicopters, in fighting vehicles, ships and patrol boats.

Why Us

We are achieving this vision through the CIS Branch Change and Transformation Project (CISCTP), which is transforming our culture, our people and the way we work. Our Information Communication Services will operate on the foundation of a common information environment. This will leverage the best of industry and other government agency, people, process and technology practices. Building on this common technology environment our highly trained and motivated information technology specialists will have the exciting task of creating and sustaining uniquely tailored military information and communications services that will allow us to operate effectively, on our own, with all of government agencies and with our key Allies and Partners.
Come and be part of the change.  What we do matters!
