Job Description

What you will do
 
The Quality Assurance and Training Officer (QATO) within the Directorate of Defence Recruiting is responsible for providing training and auditing the processes for our Candidate Engagement Facilitators (CEF's) that manage the recruitment process for candidates joining the NZDF; and will work alongside the Military Quality Assurance and Training Officer.
 
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality deliverables are consistent with the Directorate of Recruiting's policies and analysing quality results to identify trends, as well as the creation, implementation and management of quality improvement. You'll provide direction to enhance accepted standards of quality practices, continuous improvement and customer service as well as complete audits to ensure compliance to best practice. This also includes ensuring the effectiveness of the recruitment process by developing and implementing effective processes and tools for identifying training need and developing and managing training courses, including staff induction and refresher training. 
 
What we need
 
We need your experience in quality assurance and auditing. You'll be developing quality plans and writing procedures and work instructions, as well as in developing and delivering computer-based and competency based functional training. 

Your in-depth knowledge of quality assurance, auditing and performance monitoring, a passion for continuous improvement and quality are key skills in this role. You skills in organisation, time management, communication, facilitation and presentation are crucial to your success in this role.

The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Low level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen, who has resided in this country continuously for at least the last five years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
