What you will do

The role of the SAP BI Financial Trainer is to design, develop and deliver SAP BI Finance training on behalf of the Defence Corporate Training School (DCTS).  This includes developing and designing content for courses around existing and new requirements and then preparing and delivering lessons- determining the most appropriate method of instruction and mode of presentation. 

The SAP BI Financial Trainer is responsible for producing and delivering innovative, efficient, effective, and sustainable short course and e-learning solutions.  You'll also provide one on one or unit based support relating to SAP BI finance and budget requirements when required.
What we need

Your experience in the delivery of training and learning programmes, with experience in finance and budgeting for organisations and SAP BI.  You'll be a confident communicator and provide effective training delivery to a variety of audiences. 
Your skills in the design and content development of computer training courses in a corporate training environment are sought after in this role, as are your skills in design related to instructional and educational aspects of corporate training such as instructor proficiency, monitoring, curricula evaluation, and course modernisation and revision.   

Who we are
DCTS is one of the training schools under the Defence Training Institute. The school designs, develops and delivers NZDF corporate common training to military and civilian personnel as well as facilitating and co-ordinating external training expertise to deliver NZDF corporate courses. DCTS currently provides approximately 700 courses to over 10,000 military and civilian personnel - both within embedded military courses and as part of an annual training programme across all Defence facilities. DCTS training includes leadership, management, health and safety, diversity and inclusion, computer, finance and SAP training.

  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
