Job Description

What you will do
 
This is a unique, fixed-term opportunity to work as part of an A-rated agency and influence senior management thinking.  Join the outcome dots across multiple portfolio delivery projects, as well as work with a variety of experienced project/programme/portfolio professionals.
 
Key responsibilities of this role, include:

  • Maintaining the portfolio planning to ensure accuracy at a strategic level;
  • Providing analysis and on-going assessments of risk, change and benefits;
  • Growing and delivering a standardised approach to portfolio reporting for senior managers;
  • Actively engaging with internal and external networks.

Please note: this is a fixed-term opportunity for two years.

What we need
 
We are looking for someone with the ability to translate data into information to support senior management decision making.  You will have proven experience as a portfolio analyst and be ready to take the next step up working as an influencer within a large, complex portfolio.
 
You will have experience with report design and development, working with senior stakeholders in a project/programme/portfolio environment.  You will be adaptable and have demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships both internally and externally to achieve positive outcomes.

Please note: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ) and be able to obtain and maintain the required level of NZ Government security clearance for the position applied for. The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Low level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 5 years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 5 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
