Job Description

What you will do

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of supply and technical personnel in the supply chain Hercules Fleet Support team and the effective and efficient delivery of Supply Chain support to RNZAF Auckland based aircraft. In doing this you are accountable for the SAP analysis to produce accurate budget management and reporting for both operating and capital allocations; to ensure Technical Airworthiness compliance is maintained for all procurement and repair activity and to develop strategic vendor relationships.

This position is also responsible for the availability of Aeronautical rotable assets and consumable inventory, through planning and monitoring supply chain forecasts and fulfilment activities either by procurement, repair or replacement.

What we need

We are seeking a person with a strong understanding of current inventory management and supply chain business practices who is also technically minded. If you have an understanding of aircraft,  or aviation even better.

This is an integral role within the Squadron which requires good planning skills, the ability to liaise with a wide variety of people and a passion for supply chain and logistics support.

You will bring significant experience in supply chain where you have managed vendor relationships and been heavily involved in contract management. You have an eye for data and analysing information enabling you to make effective recommendations and support continuous improvement.

Good computer skills are essential especially within SAP. You will bring sound financial planning and budgetry experience.
A relative Tertiary qualification is required.

  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last ten years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.
