We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join us to help provide high quality, comprehensive health care to our service personnel within a multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Medics and Doctors along with other committed health professionals and well-being providers.
As a 24/7 medical facility, our advertised position requires Nurses who can provide care on a rostered rotating shift basis to a small number of lower acuity patients admitted to our extended care facility.

Our role is best suited to experienced Nurses with post-graduate experience who are competent to practice autonomously/sole charge in a Ward like setting and who also come with sufficient nursing experience to bolster our response team during medical emergencies.
In this role our Nurses are supported by a dedicated health care team during week days and by an On Call Medical Officer and Medic afterhours and weekends.
Please note: If selected for interview you will be required to provide certified copies of your nursing qualifications including your practicing/ registration certificate and a statement of good standing.
A current APC is essential with a current first aid certificate.

Who we are
The Defence Health Centre in Waiouru provides occupational, primary health, 24/7 urgent after hours care, along with emergency response to military personnel working and living within the Waiouru Military Training Facility. Why Us

By joining our small but dedicated team you will have the opportunity to work with other health care professionals who are passionate about delivering 24/7 health support to our servicemen and women. You will become a member of an effective and supportive team and with access to and opportunity for funded continued professional development and to make a valued contribution toward the NZ Defence Force as a civilian Registered Nurse.
Being based in Waiouru, means you will be very close to some of New Zealand's beautiful outdoors, skiing, fishing, tramping await! We offer a competitive salary, a great team environment as part of the NZDF community, five weeks annual leave, coupled with great benefits for you and your family when you join NZDF!
