Job Description

What you will do

The Amenities Administrator provides efficient and accurate administration support to the Motels and Amenities Manager through the provision of customer service, financial recording and general upkeep and minor maintenance duties related to hire equipment.

What we need

We are seeking a customer centric administrator with excellent relationship management skills. You will be a career administrator who has been part of a wider support service. You possess an advanced level of ability within the Microsoft Suite and ideally you will be familiar with MYOB/SRM/Sharepoint or similar.

You are an excellent organiser and planner ensuring that work is completed efficiently and on time. Being a top communicator you can build and maintain effective relationships across NZDF, externally and within your own team.

You will need to have a full driver licence for this role.

Who we are

The Motels and Amenities Office is primarily responsible for the day to day operational management of Navy holiday accommodation at Mount Maunganui and Taupo, and the operation of a hire centre providing a wide range of hire equipment for use by both military and civilian personnel employed at the Naval Base.

Please note: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ) and be able to obtain and maintain the required level of NZ Government security clearance for the position applied for. The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Low level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen, who has resided in this country continuously for at least the last five years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
