What you will do

The GEOINT Strategic Requirements Manager is a key member of the GNZ Operations Team who are responsible for the management and coordination of all GNZ requirements and information, including RFI management, imagery systems administration and tasking, and ensuring effective delivery of all GNZ GEOINT products to NZIC.

What we need

Although this role is based in Wellington it reports through to GNZ in Devonport so we are seeking a person who can work independently but also be part of a wider supportive remote team. You will be self-managing, proactive and be good with systems and processes. Having well developed analytical and research skills you enjoy the opportunity to delve in-depth into the detail.

You will bring prior experience from within an intelligence environment, preferably in IMINT or GEOINT. Ideally you will have and understanding of the NZDF and the role of intelligence in delivering operational success.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will foster and maintain professional working relationships with a diverse range of partners and customers.

Please note: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ) and be able to obtain and maintain the required level of NZ Government security clearance for the position applied for. The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Higher level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 15 years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 15 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
