What you will do
You will ensure that effective obsolescence management practices are applied to RNZAF platforms and systems, to minimise the loss of operational capability, due to obsolescence. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical advice in regards to the obsolescence management and associated technical support of equipment, fittings, and documentation associated with all RNZAF aircraft.
What we need
We are seeking a person with significant experience in obsolescence management for aircraft components and systems. You will have an Aeronautical engineering background and a knowledge of systems engineering and systems safety analysis principles and practises. This prior experience has given you some really good investigative skills for the treatment of obsolescence issues.
A good level of proficiency in Microsoft Office is needed, especially in Excel. Knowledge of a computerised maintenance management system is desirable.
In terms of qualifications we are ideally looking for advanced trade training and/or a recognised military or aerospace industry qualification. Any SAP exposure would be an advantage.

The Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation Auckland, through the Platform Technical Support Cells, is responsible for the Technical Airworthiness of the various aircraft and associated aeronautical structure and systems in support of NZDF Operations.
