We're looking for an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Consumer, Compliance and Projects team. This is a great opportunity to support compliance frameworks, engage with industry participants and the public, and lead education initiatives that drive better outcomes for consumers.
About the role
The role involves educating both industry participants and the public on consumer care obligations and compliance requirements. It includes developing clear, high-quality resources like case studies and website content. Additionally, the position leads stakeholder engagement by facilitating discussions and outreach initiatives. Providing expert advice on compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations is a key responsibility. Collaboration with internal teams is also crucial for supporting monitoring, enforcement, and strategic projects. Mentoring and coaching team members to foster capability and knowledge-sharing is an essential part of the role. For further details, refer to the job description.
Our ideal candidate
We're looking for someone who knows the electricity industry or regulatory environments inside out and can communicate complex ideas in a way that resonates with diverse audiences.

- Significant experience in the electricity industry or regulatory environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- in education, stakeholder engagement, customer service, or advisory roles
- Demonstrated ability to analyse industry developments and provide expert insights
- Proficiency in Te Reo Māori or a Pasifika language, or a strong commitment to cultural awareness, is desirable
