About the role

As Head of People and Capability, you'll lead a high-impact function, shape and deliver people strategies that align with our organisational goals. As a trusted business partner to the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership team, you'll play a key role in driving initiatives that support our people throughout their journey at the Authority.

Key responsibilities

You will support the organisation through:

  • developing and delivering people strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • providing trusted advice to the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership team on matters of organisational culture and performance, employee engagement, and leadership development
  • high-quality leadership, change management, and professional development across the organisation
  • promoting a positive, inclusive, and values-based culture

Are you someone with the following?

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing People and Capability strategies that enhance organisational performance
  • Strong systems thinking and strategic planning experience, with the ability to align people strategies with organisational goals
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organisational and cultural change effectively and empathetically
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, and the agility to adapt and lead through complexity
  • Minimum of three years' experience leading a People and Capability function
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
