Job Description

As a Treasury and Finance Analyst you will be responsible for a range of treasury and finance tasks vital to the running of Corporate Services. The role reports to and supports the Senior Finance Manager in financial activities and works together with another analyst to deliver requirements.  This includes supporting and facilitating the internal and external audit process, delivery of reporting and the development of strategic documents.  This hands-on role is responsible for managing the daily and month end procedures for reconciliations and interest payments, and for keeping on top of monthly cash forecasts, new forecasts and variances.  In this role, you will engage with finance staff across the 20 District Health Boards so communication and relationship building skills is a must.

Why you are the ideal candidate

We need someone with a financial brain, strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability and excellent time management who can communicate effectively and building strong relationships. To succeed in the role you are highly organised, have solid interpersonal skills and approach your work with maturity and professionalism. You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting and ideally three to four years' experience as an assistant accountant or financial analyst in a banking environment.

Who we are and what we do

Working smarter together is increasingly important in the health sector. Effective solutions that can be developed and shared between District Health Boards are required to meet the rising demand for healthcare and cost of new clinical equipment. Together we can make a difference. That's why the country's 20 DHBs created NZ Health Partnerships in 2015.  While we are focused on administrative and support services, everything we do has direct or indirect clinical benefits. Ultimately, improving patient care is at the heart of what we do.

If you meet the above criteria, have New Zealand residence or citizenship and demonstrated experience, please apply online. Note a full position description is available when you click through and apply for the role. Applications close Wednesday 22 August 2018.
