Job Description

Fixed-term position for 12 months - covering parental leave

The Health Research Council is New Zealand's principal funder of health research. The Communications Adviser will lead implementation of the HRC's Communications Strategy and produce high quality communications across all HRC's communication channels. The purpose of the role is to effectively communicate the value of the HRC and the difference HRC-funded research makes to the health and well-being of New Zealanders.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience in a communications role.
  • A tertiary qualification in communications or journalism.

Ideally, applicants should be excellent communicators, both verbal and written, have well developed interpersonal skills, and have competency in digital platforms and Microsoft Office.
