Inland Revenue (IR) is the backbone of New Zealand's revenue system, collecting the funds needed to support our country's programmes. We also manage social support initiatives like Child Support, Working for Families Tax Credits, and Best Start. As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be an essential part of our dynamic frontline team in Whangārei. At IR, our mission goes beyond tax collection - we fund and deliver programs that support and care for New Zealanders. What's more, a career with us isn't just about crunching numbers as you'll be using your customer-focused approach to enhance the overall experience for our clients.

In this role, you will be the first port of call for our broad range of customers, supporting our them to understand and comply with their obligations - and to get things right from the start.

Your daily tasks will primarily take place in a contact centre environment, where you'll be making and answering calls, and responding to messages through email and other channels. You'll work closely with customers to understand their unique situations and help them achieve the best outcomes through thorough research and sound decision-making.

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who:

The standard number of hours of work will be 75 hours 50 minutes per fortnight, to be worked between 8am and 6.15pm, Monday to Friday. These shifts are scheduled and based on business needs. The salary for this position is $59,560 per annum.
