As a Customer Service Officer (L1) based in Nelson, you'll be part of a dynamic frontline team that supports customers across a range of services. A key focus of your role will be debt recovery - working with customers who have overdue accounts, assessing their financial position, and guiding them through repayment options that are sustainable and fair.
You'll also help small businesses understand their tax obligations, navigate compliance, and maintain financial health. This means using your judgement and problem-solving skills to deliver outcomes that support both the customer and the integrity of the tax system.
Our office environment offers a mix of communication channels, including phone, email, and online messaging. You'll need to adapt quickly and confidently to different situations while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.

This is a full-time role of 75 hours and 50 minutes per fortnight, worked between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The salary for this position is $60,385 per annum and a start date of 30 March 2026.
