About the role - Mō te tūnga
Inland Revenue's Digital Product Experience (DPEx) team are recruiting a permanent Domain Specialist (Enterprise CMS and Search) to join them.
The DPEx team sits within the Enterprise Information and Knowledge area and delivers digital experiences that empower people with the information they need in a way that supports customer and staff action and education through their external and internal web channels.
Our solutions are at the forefront of the digital public service and our varied and exciting portfolio of work has far reaching potential to improve the NZ tax system.
The Domain Specialist function within this team is considered to be an enduring capability which focuses on supporting findability and continuous improvement of two key enterprise digital products, Sitecore (CMS) and Coveo (Search).
We are looking for someone with a strong background in leading this type of work for a large organisation (or with transferable knowledge in other platforms and the motivation to apply this to their learning).
This role will be part of a cross functional team working in a scaled Agile environment and will need to be well versed in managing both technical and non-technical stakeholders while implementing data driven digital experiences.

EIK provides thought leadership, practice coordination, subject matter expertise and the delivery of user centric digital experiences, advice and guidance across information management, knowledge management, records management and information and knowledge architecture. This is fundamental to IR's knowledge workers being able to make quality decisions at speed.
This Domain Specialist role sits within the Digital Product Experience team which is part of the Enterprise Information and Knowledge unit.

About you - Mōu
You will need a solid understanding of digital content management systems and search engines and be able to apply this understanding to drive maintenance and improvement in an agile delivery environment.
- Design and delivery of digital content management solutions in Sitecore and configuration of our enterprise search tool, Coveo
- Strongly solution-focused role with significant stakeholder management in key business areas
- Significantly autonomous role that asks for problem solving and solution identification skills
This position is critical to ensuring that our external websites, intranet and search experience operate effectively and efficiently. You will need to understand real-world requirements and configure our tools to deliver sustainable value to IR and its customers.
Further you will:
- Work with other IR resources, customers and key business stakeholders to conceptualise and develop solutions for the optimisation of digital content management and IR's search capability
- Support the internal content design team and other internal stakeholders in their use of Sitecore and Coveo
- Possess the analytical skills required to monitor and maintain search engine configurations to make sure they serve the most appropriate results to users
- Collaborate with external development partners and internal support functions to design fit-for-purpose digital content management solutions
- Work with a delivery team of internal and external resources in an agile delivery process to configure Coveo and Sitecore so that they meet identified business requirements
- Test and validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and deliver the value they are intended to
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and forward planning processes with regular reporting to feed the backlog of work
- Be proactive in your pain point or bug identification and associated path to resolution
You will need to have experience in:
- Design, delivery and maintenance of enterprise digital content management solutions; Sitecore preferred but not mandatory
- Stakeholder engagement and provision of admin level support for CMS users with troubleshooting, tracking and reporting on system enhancement requests
- Search engine optimisation and configuration of enterprise search solutions; Coveo experience preferred but not mandatory
- Digital analytics solutions and applying these to understanding site and search performance
- Customer-centric design and testing processes
- Conceptual solutioning and providing advice, guidance and design for external and internal customers
