Job Description

This role has two parts to it, both as important as the other. The first is to provide leadership and expertise in the day to day system administration and support services. The second is in the efficient and prompt resolving of all incidents. You will get variety in this role, have excellent support and work within a great team.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone to lead from the front. You will be available as required when incidents occur, so flexibility after hours is required.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the incident process, following ITIL methods and procedures
  • Lead and perform system administrative and integrity activities
  • Coach and mentor your team
  • Ensure services delivered are meeting agreed service levels (using reporting)
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships

To be successful in this role:

This role requires someone who has excellent written and verbal communication, is a great problem solver, is collaborative and enjoys a hand's on approach. You will be a team player, organised and have the ability to multi task.

You will have:

  • 5 years' experience in Incident Management
  • Experience leading a team
  • Working knowledge of ITIL
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Intermediate excel skills (be comfortable using this for reporting purposes)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems
