Job Description

Permanent part-time position (0.8FTE) - 64 rostered hours per fortnight

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our multi-disciplinary Nelson/ Tasman Mental Health CAT team.

We are seeking applications from NZ Registered Registered Nurses with a minimum of two years' experience working in acute psychiatry, with strong assessment and risk management skills.

You will fit into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour and respect across disciplines and will engender confidence, trust and rapport with clients and their support networks.

We will provide an interesting and supportive working environment including excellent supervision and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

We are seeking applications from those with:

  • experience working with a range of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions with people in the acute phase of illness
  • current knowledge and experience of mental illness and related issues
  • current registration and annual practising certificate
  • the ability to apply clinical skills flexibly, innovatively and autonomously
  • willingness and able to be appointed as a Duly Authorised Officer and participate in the on-call roster
  • exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to educate others
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • a current driver's licence.
