Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Māori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Māori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks.

Our Manager Data Analytics
- Provide both people leadership and functional leadership of our investment and intelligence analysis, commissioning of data and insights, and sector compliance risk assessments
- Establish and oversee robust data governance frameworks, policies and procedures and champion data privacy and security initiatives to safeguard information
- Drive the identification, evaluation and adoption of data science and analytics capabilities to transform organisational performance

- 7+ years' experience relevant to this role
- Experience providing strategic intelligence, investment and/or data analysis insights and advice
- Strong understanding of the application of intelligence, investment and/or data analysis tools and methodologies, preferably in a regulatory environment
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, both internal and external, able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Demonstrated people leadership capability
