The Water Services Authority - Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. We also have an oversight role in relation to the environmental performance of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks.

The Policy Manager - Wastewater and Stormwater leads a team of up to 4 high-performing, policy professionals working on a complex work programme focussed on building a new regulatory regime.

The Policy Manager will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the water sector to develop and implement New Zealand's first wastewater standards.
• Managing a complex and fast paced work programme.
• Bringing their strong policy and management skills to support the team and the work programme.

• Can provide strategic policy advice on an important and high-profile work programme
• Build strong relationships internally and externally
• Is an experienced people leader capable of delivering a complex work programme
