Our Army General Staff Team is looking for a highly motivated and pro-active Events Coordinator with strong analytic skills.  You will assist with the delivery of some Army events and will review the effects of these engagements in accordance with the Army's Strategic plan.  Your previous experience with coordinating and running events while respecting existing protocols and practises, along with your ability to work within a diverse service organisation will be well received.  

You'll be a confident and engaging communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build sustainable working relationships.  You'll have the ability to think critically, show good judgement and sound decision making.  Your focus on providing quality outcomes and finding workable solutions will ensure the team meets Army's Strategic effect.  You are expected to computer literate and with the ability to easily learn new IT systems. Your energy and drive enable you to easily juggle multiple demands and manage your time effectively.

The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Higher level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.


If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
