Job Description

The Portfolio and Delivery Services Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade turns ideas into reality within the Ministry. We are the Ministry's trusted advisors in the ‘how to' space. We are responsible for making sure projects, programmes and initiatives are delivered with best practice, good tools and investment goals in mind. We also play a role in integrating services to support an all of government offshore footprint. We are part of an integrated system that enables the Ministry to advance New Zealand's interests and project New Zealand values internationally.

We have a vacancy for a Programme Delivery Coordinator who can bring their disciplined organising skills to bear in a delivery-focused environment.

What the role does

This is a key support role in the programme delivery team working closely with the Programme Manager assisting and managing tasks such as scheduling, reporting, quality assurance, and risk management. It also performs a secretariat function for the investment board of governance.

The role is also responsible for coordinating updates to a delivery plan and maintaining a master register of projects. It is also responsible for updating the delivery dashboard for the investment board.

The role will be required to maintain a suite of project management tools, templates and provide guidance and advice on their use.

What we need

Successful delivery of projects is always top of mind. We are looking for someone who comes with a disciplined approach for operating consistent project management processes, tempered with a mind set for continual improvement.
