This unique and multifaceted role will assist with running Barbara's electorate offices in Porirua and Kāpiti. You'll work collaboratively to ensure everything goes smoothly day in and day out, even though no two days are the same. You'll be stepping into an environment that is challenging, exciting, and rewarding.
Joining the Mana team will see you become a committed part of Barbara's team, and your ability to build strong and trusted relationships is key to being successful in this role.
This role is varied, on any given day your responsibilities may include:
- providing high-quality advice and advocacy to constituents in your community, including welfare calling
- building and maintaining strong relationships with agencies in the electorate
- managing and responding to correspondence and emails
- maintaining database administration.

As an employee of Parliamentary Service, you will be apolitical in your role, however awareness of the political landscape may be beneficial in supporting your MP.

This is an events-based, fixed-term role linked to the MP, working 25 hours per week. Some flexibility in hours may be required and can be negotiated for the right candidate. There will be a requirement to work some school holidays.
The appointing salary band for this role is $55,752 to $69,690 per annum (pro-rated to 25 hours). Appointments will be based on your skills and experience.
