$82,477 - $123,715

Broaden Your Skill Base and Further Develop Your Career into Leadership

This role sits within the Rehabilitation Programmes and Interventions team at the Department of Corrections' National Office.  This position presents the opportunity to leverage your psychology practice experience, use your clinical practice knowledge to take a high level overview and broaden your skill base by moving into a nationally focused role. It will appeal to you if you wish to utilise your psychological therapeutic background to influence best practice nationally across our Correctional Environment.

The team is involved with a diverse portfolio of rehabilitation programmes and interventions for men, women, and youth serving community or prison based sentences. The objective of this work is to help offenders make positive changes and lead law-abiding lives, which in turn will contribute to a reduction in reoffending and create safer communities. The team is tasked to develop best practice guidelines, programmes, integrity monitoring processes, and training to facilitators in the regions.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, motivated Psychologist who will manage the development, and monitor the delivery of a portfolio of rehabilitation programmes and interventions.

This will give you an opportunity to make a difference and be part of a passionate team.  You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent problem solving skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively within a team.  Key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Professional Practice Enhancement and Support
  • Integrity Monitoring of our Medium Intensity Suite of Programmes
